Sadly this truck has had the big block V6 removed and discarded by the P.O do to 6 mpg. It dose have a 1975 V8 350 crate motor in it with 20,000 miles that i sure the hell cant complain about.
Don't forget to check out my 1964 GMC 1000 project there's a link to the right.
When i bought this truck it had plates on it so almost everything to do with this truck running down the road is new, wiring front to back, tires, alternator and battery the only thing that this truck really needed to be road worthy as a daily driver is a brake job.
What we have planed here is another clean up along with a high rise intake a 4bbl and chrome valve covers a little re wiring and a tune up.
We will also be hitting the engine bay with gloss black.
The truck has had many coats of paint org teal, primer, dark blue then raddled can silver and metallic blue.
The last coat of blue flakes off when you run a putty knife a crossed it so it has to come off thankfuly its not every where.
A little pre view!
Everything cleaned up and ready to go this motor took minutes to clean and was spotless inside the engine bay was another story though it took some time i wet sanded for at least 3 hours after scraping off the flaky blue paint.
Used the old valve covers to protect the heads from paint.
Don't forget to check out the past posts showing how the truck got to this point under Wheels Tires AXLES And BUMPERS! also if you want updates on the truck don't forget to subscribe by email at the top!
